Lennon and McCartney Discuss Their Songwriting Partnership

It was then 1966 when this interview was given by John and Paul.

From youtube:

A fun little interview of John Lennon and Paul McCartney for a 1966 BBC Radio show. It was recorded at Paul’s newly-purchased townhome on Cavendish Avenue, and about mid-way through the interview, a very young “Martha My Dear” can be heard howling from another room. The interview was re-broadcast in 1988 on BBC Radio’s “The Beeb’s Lost Beatles Tapes,” and that’s when “Hey Jude” was edited in. (You can tell the interview was taped in ’66 because Paul mentions that Martha is 7 weeks old. He got Martha right after he moved into his townhouse in the summer of ’66.)
